Hallo Dear Friends 

Well we are certainly getting our share of the rain now! Our March market is still set for tomorrow as the rain should be over by then, but if there is any change we will let you know through the Veggie and Meal Service Whatsapp group and the FB event page (see link below). Thank you for the Veggie Service orders received this week - the rain should help us quickly increase what we have on offer from the farm!

As stated last week, I am opening tomorrow for Meal Service orders to be collected at our Easter market. Please find the information on how to book and what is available attached to this newsletter. For further information and the price list please contact me on Whatsapp 71726027.

March Farmer's Market at BSPCA Animal Shelter

Secondly, our market for March is next Saturday and it's going to be marvelous! Lots of exciting new stalls as well as your old favourites. As usual by attending these markets you are not just supporting local entrepreneurs but BSPCA, an organisation which does so much for our fur babies in and around Gaborone. Grow Your Own Organic Gardening/Farming Workshop

Thirdly, don't forget to book your place at our up-coming workshop as the Early Bird price is only valid until the end of today! Please read below and see the attached flyer for the basic information. For more details kindly respond via email and I will send you the information, schedule and map to the farm.

Saturday 7th March – Farmer’s Market at BSPCA Animal Shelter, 10am to 3pm and collection of Frozen Meal orders (see above and attached flyers).

Saturday 14th March – Grow Your Own Organic Gardening/Farming Workshop at Kingfisher Farm (see attached poster)

Saturday 21st March - Autumn Equinox Market at The Patio, 10am to 3pm.

Saturday 4th April - Easter Farmer’s Market at BSPCA Animal Shelter, 10am to 3pm

Saturday 11th & 18th April - Preservation Workshops, Kingfisher Farm (to be confirmed)

Saturday 25th April - Autumn Open Farm and Pottery Event, 10am to 4pm (to be confirmed)

 Veggie Service

The Veggie Service resumes at REWA this week, on Tuesday 10th March. Please could I have your orders and the payment to me by Monday, 9th March, 3pm. We don't have very much available at the moment (see below) but in the weeks to come we will have a lot more to offer. Thank you for your patience - nature takes time to renew!

Here is the list and prices of what we have right now:

Few Veggies & Herbs

Baby coloured spinach - P25 for 300g bag

Baby kale leaves - P25 for 200g bag (market only)
English pumpkins - Medium: P45, Extra large: P80 

30g bag herbs: garlic chives, plain chives, mint, parsley, wild rocket and 
oregano - P10 each

Preserves: 

Spicy Pineapple Chutney - P60 each

Spicy Paw Paw Chutney - P60 each

Grapefruit and Ginger Marmalade - P60 each

Bakes:

High Fibre Rusks - P50 for 350g pack

Chocolate Beetroot Brownies - P25 each, Chocolate Beetroot Cupcakes and Cinnamon Pumpkin Cake - P20 each. Buy 5 of the same type and get one free! (Market only).

Organic Seeds:

English Pumpkin, Heritage Multi-coloured Corn, Rainbow Spinach, Flat-leaf Parsley, Sweet Basil, Safflower and Sunflower - P15 a packet.  Asparagus - P20 a packet.
