Welcome to the Botswana ParentNetwork - an old-fashioned but simple mailing list to keep each other informed on 'stuff for the family' and to benefit from our collective experience around family life in Gaborone and Botswana. As all of us are getting more than enough emails already - let's make sure every email we add is useful!

If you are looking for a nanny, babysitter or helper at home (or are leaving and search for a new family home for yours);
to post family events (announcements for plays, concerts, circus shows or kids activities)
or ask for advice (regarding schooling, afternoon activities, play groups, health care, family vacation or where best to buy something)
or rent or sell anything (family related please, so exercise good judgement)...

... simply copy & paste the address botswana-parentnetwork@googlegroups.com into your email which will then automatically go to all of the others (which can take up to one hour though, so give it some time before you hit the send button again). Magic (though very nineties)! 

At present there are some 100+ families involved which still makes for a spam-free and relaxed use of the list with rarely more than  5 emails per week - but often these come right on time!  Please feel free to tell other families and make use of this platform.
