You can create a rule to move the email to different folders in your email box. Then you create for every partner a channel with the different folders that you can setup in the path of the channel (smtps). This way you can have them separated.

Hope this helps,

Klaas

Hi there,

Searching through posts here and reading the wiki, I've learned this isn't as straightforward as we thought. A channel or route cannot be "filtered" to a specific from address correct?

The filenames are similar from both partners, they are both sending us xls files with the same prefix. I know I could create another email address for the second partner, but before I go that route, we wanted to see if there's an easy way to choose the route with a communication script.

It sounds like it would be possible, but I'm struggling to understand exactly what I'd need to do. If someone has an example they could post, or point me to, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

In gmail the path is the same as a label. I use mailgun ro reroute different emails, forward these to a gmail account. Filter the "to emailaddress" to a specific label, then I use the bots channel with path to this label to read a specific filtered emails. You need to add an app password to read the channel from bots.
Once bots has read the email, you still have the received email in your inbox folder.
