hi Simon,

bots uses paramiko for this.

think it is best to look to paramiko about this.

(usage of paramiko in bots is relativity simple, I would not expect that to be the issue).


NB if you do find cause/solution, would be great it you post it here.

I also found sftp to be slower than expected, but since my files are quite small it was not a serious problem. I just assumed it was the remote server.
