Obviously not the site. *ba dum tsch*

I checked all that I could, and it just seems like the server doesn't want to respond. My best guess is that something wasn't renewed.

I emailed Zach, so hopefully he'll respond. If you want to nag him to get the site back up, have at it: @hoeken

I don't have the ability to look into it sadly.

Hey Guys,

I've not been motivated to work on botqueue at all lately for a bunch of reasons.  If I were to pass on the reins to someone, is anyone willing to take on maintenance of it and keep it going?

Ooh ooh, pick me pick me!

I mean... ahem. Yes, but cost of the site would be an issue for me. How much does it take to run year-round?

Haha, I should've known.  It costs about $125/month for me to run it now.  Its not the financial side that is the PITA, its more the needing to maintain it.  I'm happy to financially support it, but my life has moved on in a different direction from 3d printing, and my wrists just do not take well to extended periods of computer use that I need in order to keep developing it.

I'll send you an email offlist to chat further.

Hi everybody

First of all, I'd like the introduce myself.

My name is Eric, I'm a Spanish Inustrial Engineer student and I've been working in RepRapBCN for the last two years (take a look if you don't know the project!).

We have more than 25 3D printers printing parts for new BCN3D+ kits, so obviously I consider a great idea to introduce BotQueue in order to automate the production. Moreover, I have to develop my Final Thesis to get the degree...

I'm planning to buy some Raspberry Pi, but before spending money and energies It would be great to know which is status of the project, if it's already shut down or not or what do you expect for the next months.

As a member of one of the most active Open Source Communities around the world, I must confess how thankful I am for all thw hard work you're doing guys.

Thanks a lot.

Hey, glad to hear it. I've wanted to know how BotQueue would handle many printers all at once like that. I'm currently maintaining BotQueue, and getting ready for the 0.5 release in the coming months. I'm currently adding things like having one machine on your system do the slicing, while another will print. I'm also trying to make BotQueue generally more stable, by separating different pieces of it and refactoring.

For example, many of the models in the code are used both in the MVC and in the global state machine. I'm working on separating those things so that it will be more efficient and easier to maintain.  This should be done by the end of May, as I'm a student as well.

If you need anything, or want any features, (Or just want to chat privately about your particular project) please let me know.

Thank you,

Justin Nesselrotte

Such a great news!

I knew the project few weeks ago and I realized immediately BotQueue is an exciting first step to the 3D printing manufacturing automation. So I got a little disappointed when I read Zach was giving up... Luckily the projet is still going on!

I must confess I'm a newbie in this topic. I'm just learning by myself a little about Raspberry PI and my programming skill is much worse than I'd like... However I have acces to a huge 3D printers farm, kind of a real small industrial environment and, with its production, maintaining and overseeing plan. For this reason I'm pretty sure I'll can provide a valuable feedback for the project.

Right now I'm ready to get started in BotQueue. First with my personal printer, adding progressively more bots to manage. I'll share my impressions (as well as my doubts) in this group.

BTW, any recommendation will be welcome!!!

Thanks!

Awesome, thanks. Let me know any issues you have. Be sure to start a new topic if you have any issues.

Thank you,
