regarding connection to any other S3 compliance cloud with boto

Hi,

Not sure its right thing to ask but just wanted to put this into your suggestion-list that Can i use boto to connect to any other cloud ( not AWS S3) which is similar & compliance to S3.

So just was curious that if i will be able to connect to some other cloud.

My guess is that if that cloud is similar to S3 then i will be able to connect  with boto

You can certainly use boto to access openstack swift (as long as you use the swift3 compatibility piece in swift, and use the appropriate magic to connect boto to the server).

Hi Rak,

Just to confirm that Cloudian HyperStore [http://cloudian.com/products/cloudian-hyperstore.php] can also use boto with no changes. We use Boto internally to help test our S3 compliance and along with other tools. There is a free community version you can download and play with also.
