thisjust happened to me too, second time in this year. Unfortunately the license is lost (no license found in the codemeter). Waiting now for support :(((((( Today I did cleaning cache and famous new MacBook update.
Do you have any idea how we can fix this and use 4.5.0.0?
Don't want to write scripts in Linux to auto restart Codemeter. As far as i know Codesyscontrol will timeout when the codemeter service stops.
Uninstalled 267, installed 268 now the codemeter container is empty. Last year I ordered a month time limited license because I lost the codemeter stick. Found it couple of months ago and could play with no problem. Now the container is empty. Pretty please help!
Most likely, you're looking at the virtual CodeMeter device "ESIMGAMES" that is being installed for time-based licenses whenever you install Steel Beasts. You can recognize it by its serial code prefix 32767-...
Your CM stick would be recognizable by its prefix code 1-..., or 2-..., or 3-... (which indicates their production lot). So, in the example above, it'd be the one with name "eSim Ersatz" (since I made the screenshot a while ago and used one of my spare CM sticks for this reference).
Thinking some more about it, you probably launched the WebAdmin, which defaults to the list of available licenses on "the" CM container. But of course, every owner of a classic license with CM stick has multiple containers (two) on his computer. The virtual one, and the actual CM stick.
In the upper left hand corner below the navigation bar of the WebAdmin you can see the button "All Containers" (with the Very American cardboard file container box icon); click on it to see all the containers available on your machine, then pick your CM stick.
When I updated my game with the reinstalled version I seem to remember it creating a second codemeter entry for whatever reason but i believe my time license worked fine still. Was just a bit confusing when I went to renew. But it seems you dont have an extra license looking at your pictures.
128-... ist a left-over from a previous installation. 32767-... was generated when Steel Beasts was installed again. What's missing is the CodeMeter USB stick. You wrote that you found your old stick, but it doesn't seem to be plugged in (or wasn't properly recognized) when you made the WebAdmin screenshot. But if you have it plugged in while you're running SB Pro, I would expect that you get no error message because there is a valid license, just not on any of the virtual devices.
The "EBL trace" doesn't look nice, suggesting a (occasionally?) garbled communication of the CM runtime software with the CM stick. Wibu Systems is on the case; it appears as if there's a problem with the CodeMeter runtime version 7.40 causing this; I tried out a version 7.45 beta that made the problem go away, so I hope that it'll be released soon.
With version 6.40 the vendor has rolled the x86 and x64 into the same .exe installer. The .exe contains multiple MSI's within and some DLLS and other bits for the code meter control center software. In my situation I wanted to install the whole lot silently, I wasn't interested in pulling out only the runtimes.
Note I have a file called "codemeter-serversearchlist.reg" this is an exported reg file of the server search list in codemeter, it tells codemeter what remote servers to attempt searchin glicenses on, you can make your own one of these.
We can also use PowerShell to amend the registry directly. First we have to map the registry to a drive so we can modify it like a filesystem. I choose to drill down in to the area we are going to modify. Then use that shortcut to make our changes. Don't worry, the drive mapping is only for the PowerShell session. It won't show up in explorer and it dies when the function is complete. I recommend making your license server "Server1" and using "255.255.255.255" as "Server2" so that CodeMeter will search the network if it can't find the server you listed.
Thank you Daniel, the manual installation and activation worked nicely.
Being a Java software programmer myself, I can help you and your team in testing the future fix of the Download Assistant, please let me know.

Ok, I got Dorico 4 Pro downloaded, found a place on the web site to enter my Activation Code BUT it reads Verification Pending. I open the support link and it sends me to that damned Download Assistant. Apparently, it needs to reconcile my USB eLicenser before it can generate my real license.
If you go to Sign in and click the Redeem Download Access Code button, then enter the Dorico 4 update DAC you received, you should be given an activation code, which you can copy to the clipboard and then enter in eLicenser Control Center. You can run eLicenser Control Center manually from the Applications folder on your Mac, then click Enter Activation Code, and paste in the activation code you were shown on the web site.

On a whim, I decided to do a Safe Boot with the Shift key down. The Steinberg Download Assistant eventually ran many permission screens later. Of course, I had already resolved the License per your earlier directions.
While going through every plug, license, app etc. making sure I was up to date, I found a culprit. Antares is using a run time from WIBU Systems called CodeMeter. Apparently, the version I had from 2018 was causing too many problems to count. Anyway, I downloaded and installed version 7.40 21-12-2021 and rebooted.
