I am so down for highland, I just got back from a family trip yesterday, but would love to ride.
Hit me up with an email!

 Hi All-
Sorry for the last minute e-mail, but I'm planning on riding in the AM,and can make either the Fells or Lynn Woods as destination.  If anyone is interested in meeting me, let me know and I'll try to coordinate. Shooting for a 10:00AM start.  Again sorry for not letting you know sooner, and hope a few of you can make it!

Also planning for a next Sunday MUni day at Highland Mountain in Tilton,NH. www.highlandmountain.com

Chairlift rides up,and either a 20" trials or a MUni with a brake is recommended. Or bring a bike to see what its all about, and a runwith each. $35 for a lift ticket forthe day, and well worth the experience.  I can give at least 2 ride up and back if interested.

Hope you're all having goodsummers, and fun with the uni riding, even if we're not doing it together!

Jeff

Asking for a bit of equipment advice here-

A friend wants to get a unicycle.  He is just starting, and it isn't clear to me if he wants to go muni or do more riding around town.  I'm inclined to suggest something basic for learning and see where things go, but he was interested in this (I think in part because it's local and he want to get a uni before returning to Spain in a few weeks):

It's a Kris Holm muni, $400 used, looks like a good deal, any thoughts?  Also, any thoughts on KH vs. Nimbus munis?

Alternatively, anyone have a more basic uni that you are looking to sell?

I recommend just going with the Nimbus personally: http://www.unicycle.com/shopping/shopexd.asp?id=1050 Its a great deal for that price.

If he likes that, I would at least switch the tire out for a hookworm or one of these.

Is the Nimbus seat any good?
What about the "Venture" cranks?

Venture cranks have ben said to be 'ok', they are light, and should serve well.
Nimbus seat: a new one is coming out soon, it is pretty comfy though.

Found that locally used, might be a good starting point once more specs get posted.
You should PM that guy for your friend.
I missed the reply to all on the last one, sorry Steve.
