If you don't have a Somerville parking permit, you can park on Highland Ave and walk down. Come sing in-person, outdoors, in a beautiful setting! We'll have a propane fire pit and marshmallows to toast. Other snacks are welcome.
COVID PRECAUTIONS: Because singing is a relatively high-risk activity, we ask that people attend only if vaccinated, boosted, and symptom-free. Anyone may lead a song, but no-one is obliged to. Drinking songs and sea chanteys always go over well, but anything with a good, singable chorus will be appreciated.

"Come sing together in the Arlington Community Orchard, a beautiful outdoor space. We will have snacks to share. Anyone may lead a song, but no-one is required to lead. Anything with a chorus people can chime in on is welcome (drinking songs, sea chanteys, union songs, etc are always a hit). We will sing these songs unaccompanied—no instruments required!
The picnic tables have plenty of bench seating, and there is also space to set up lawn chairs or sit on the grass."
Sat Jun 20, 1-4pm: FSSGB Election & Singing Party

Everyone is welcome to attend the Folk Song Society of Greater Boston's annual election & singing party – you don’t even have to be a member! (But if you are or become a member, you can vote for our new leadership and help shape our programming in the months to come. :-)
This year will be extra special, as we welcome the new group that will be leading the Folk Song Society of Greater Boston into the future! The election itself won't take long (just a few minutes at the beginning) and then we raise the rafters with lovely music to celebrate the transition from old to new.
Weather permitting, we’ll be outside on a covered patio. Everyone will have an opportunity to lead a sing or request a song, or just to join in or listen. Folky instruments are welcome. There will be copies of Rise Up Singing! and its sequel Rise Again for loan or purchase (at a discount).
