We are building a new service in the Amazon Web Service (AWS) Kendall Square office located in Cambridge, MA and are seeking a talented and passionate UX Designer. In this role, you and the product team will design and build a new product that will help enterprise companies migrate their on-premises resources to AWS.

To accomplish this, you will work collaboratively with product managers, engineers, executives, and other designers throughout the design and development lifecycle. You will work closely with our customers and field teams to learn about the domain so that you can design a consumer-level experience for an enterprise product.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Use analytical thinking to understand complex user problems and requirements
  • Create intuitive, efficient, and delightful experience for enterprise users by incorporating user requirements, business analysis, user feedback, metrics, and other types of usability findings
  • Deliver low- to high-fidelity prototypes and mockups
  • Deliver design specs to the development team for each sprint
  • Contribute to design patterns by incorporating modern design styles

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or equivalent professional experience
  • At least 3 years of experience as a user experience designer, interaction designer, or similar role
  • A portfolio of work demonstrating experience creating great scalable user-centered design solutions
  • Proficiency in prototyping tools such as Sketch and Axure

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or equivalent professional experience
  • Experience with complex and modern web designs and the ability to create meaningful and delightful experiences
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working closely with developers in an agile development process
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Experience with information design and data visualization
  • Visual design training / experience with ability to create visually appealing experience
