The Boston Area Chantey & Maritime Sing: 2026! Somerville, Sunday, September 20

The original chantey sing of the greater Boston area is BACK!
Sing sea chanteys and other maritime songs with like-minded folks!
Free – open to the public – sing, listen, or request a song

DATE AND TIME: Sunday, September 20, 2 pm to 5 pm

LOCATION: This sing will be in the backyard of a home in Somerville. Please message me for the address. On-street parking is free because it's a Sunday, and no permits are needed.
We're about a 15-minute walk from Red Line and Green Line stops.
We'll provide drinking water and glasses and a selection of our finest folding chairs to sit on. You're welcome to bring your own seating if you find that more comfortable.
I'm also planning on putting up an EZ-Up canopy as a sunshade, and I'll have some songbooks focused on chanteys and sea music as inspiration. You're welcome to bring your own seating if you find that more comfortable.

Hi, Barbara! I'm still planning to be there and looking forward to seeing whoever shows up! I'm just planning to put up the EZ-Up, dress warmly, and see how it goes. We don't have an alternate location/plan, apart from putting up the canopy, which I think we would be anyway.
