10/6 Raptors and Sparrows at Passanageset Park

In Quincy. I birded here from 2:00-6:30.

Great Blue Heron 12
Great Egret 5+
Snowy Egret 2
Sharp-shinned Hawk 1
Red-tailed Hawk 2
Red-shouldered Hawk 1         immature calling
Peregrine Falcon 2                 one stooping on the other; both calling
falcon sp. 1                            suspect Merlin, stooping on one of the peregrines
shorebird sp. 1
Greater Yellowlegs 4
Belted Kingfisher 1
Yellow-bellied Sapsucker 1
Great Horned Owl 1             calling at 6:35 p.m.
Golden-crowned Kinglet 3
Wilson's Warbler 1+
Palm Warbler 3
Yellow-rumped Warbler 1

White-crowned Sparrow 2    near little foot bridge; F.O.F.

P.S. The falcon show was full of drama, albeit drama of short duration. Suddenly, there were two Peregrines over my head and calling, and one stooping on the other. Then, just as suddenly, a suspected Merlin (due to its quite noticeable smaller size) comes out of nowhere and stoops upon one of the peregrines. My heart rate must've gone up quite considerably from that action.
