11/25 Fenway Gardens Yellow-breasted Chat, Warblers, etc.

I birded here from 11:20-2:20. My target bird was the Yellow-breasted Chat. I had seen this species twice here in previous years around this same time. BINGO! (and I found it within fifteen minutes or so)

Hooded Merganser 3             not in gardens, but in Muddy River
Ring-neched Duck 8              not in gardens, but in river (4+2+2)
Red-tailed Hawk 1
Peregrine Falcon 1                usual nesting area (Christian Science Plaza; hunting a pigeon
Yellow-bellied Sapsucker 1   Row E; gorgeous ad. male
Ruby-crowned Kinglet 1        various spots in gardens; very active
Orange-crowned Warbler 1   Row D
Common Yellowthroat 1         end of Row V
Yellow-breasted Chat 1          near compost area that is closest to the Boylston St. Bridge (Row Z)
Dark-eyed Junco 2
White-throated Sparrow 13    incl. outside the gardens
Song Sparrow 10                   ditto
