Yesterday, there was a singing Scarlet Tanager at the Webster Conservation Area in Newton. It was in a bit from the Madoc St. entrance, on the right-hand side. Madoc St. is off Langley Rd. This was from 3:00-3:20, when I moved on from the spot. Other Newton birds on this day sans binoculars were either at Cold Spring Park (C.S.P.) or Webster Conservation Area (W.C.A.) I birded the section of Webster Conservation Area that is on the west side of Hammond Pond Parkway:
