3/29 Virginia Rail at Leo J. Martin golf Course in Newton, etc.

I was birding in the same area as the other day (where I had all those Rusty Blackbirds) when I heard the pig grunt call of a Virginia Rail! This was at 1:30 p.m. at hole 11 (near the bridge going into the town of Weston) Was I surprised? You bet your boots I was!. Other birds of interest at the golf course were the following:

Killdeer 1
VIRGINIA RAIL !
Eastern Phoebe 3
RUSTY BLACKBIRD 1=
Chipping Sparrow 1 F.O.Y.
