1/25 Western Grebe YES in Winthrop+ Twenty Green-winged Teal

Almost immediately upon arriving at the extreme north end of Winthrop Beach, I found the Western Grebe. It was close in, easily seen with my binoculars. Here are the highlights from Winthrop Beach:

Greater Scaup x
Green-winged Teal 20    unprecedented in dead of winter? Belle Isle mudflats at low tide seen  from compost area/cemetery
Cooper's Hawk 1            flyover
Red-tailed Hawk 1          Belle Isle perched on a nest box in marsh
