I birded here from 11:10-6:35. I covered almost all of the Fenway, but most of the highlights came from the community gardens. Come here for the birds, but stay for the riot of color that are the flowers. Gorgeous dahlias, hibiscus, butterfly bushes (13 Monarchs) plum pear cactus, prickly pear cactus, fairy ring agave, ice plant, cardinal flowers, passion flowers, canna lillies, glorious bunches of asters,, And if that weren't enough, I came upon two Italian Lizards! One was on a log, so I got great looks at this well-camoflaged creature. I was told that the lizards have been at the gardens for at least two years. They are wild, and roam freely.
