Balboa Level 2 classes April 30, May 7 & 14

Two new offerings for students who've had Fundamentals 1A & 1B (or
equivalent) and want to get some new toys to play with! These classes
will expect students to select a role for class - they will NOT be ELEF
like our 1A/B classes.

First up, on April 30 we'll teach a Pure Bal class bringing some
footwork variations that you can mix and match in your closed-position
basics, as well as a couple of the more classic rhythm patterns. 
Pre-requisites: students must be familiar with both 'uphold' and
'downhold' basics.

Then on May 7 & May 14 we'll have a two-part progressive mini series
focused on Bal-Swing.  We'll expand on technique for lollies and
tossouts, and work on using these skills to control direction and to
lead/follow with different parts of the connection, which opens up a
whole lot of fun variations! Pre-requisites: students must be
comfortable with out-and-ins, lollies, and tossouts.  Also, students
must attend class on the 7th in order to be eligible for class on the 14th.

These classes will be held in Studio 5 at The Dance Complex.  536 Mass
Ave, Cambridge, 8-9:30pm as usual with practice/office hours until 10pm.

BoaSA:NTE on Sunday May 5

Time flies, and it's almost time again for Balboa on a Sunday Afternoon:
Now Times Edition!  Join us on May 5 (before or after your Cinco de Mayo
celebrations?!) for social dancing and practice, featuring DJ'd tunes
from Katie Del Vecchio! (and house DJ Stan Yen)  No class or theme this
month, just dancing!  And a trip to Lulu's patio afterward for drinks &
snacks, if the weather allows.
