It's been a while but there's lots of Balboa updates to share. Let's shuffle into spring!
BoaSA:NTE dates: February 11, March 3, April 7
We've booked BoaSA dates at Salsa y Control for the next 3

First up, on Sunday February 11, Nelle Cherry will be
teaching "Let It Marinate!", and the usual practice/social
dancing will follow. Nelle is moving to Philadelphia soon, so
don't miss one of the last chances to learn from her locally!
- 12:00-1:15pm — “Let it marinate!” with Nelle Cherry: Nelle will guide the class to soak in the beat, find your internal rhythm and how that marinates with the music and your partner! (all students are expected to have an understanding of Pure Balboa movement and be ready to groove!)
- 1:15-3:15pm — DJ’d music for practice & social dancing

We'll have more info for March and April when we get closer to
the events. Note that April 7 is the final Sunday of BalWeek
(https://www.balweek.com) -- which you should definitely go to
if you can -- but if you, like us, can't go this year, dance
some Balboa in Allston with us instead.
Weekly Classes Return!!
We are thrilled to report that Tuesday night Balboa classes at The Dance Complex are BACK, y'all! We'll post more details once we have the actual contract in our hands in a couple of weeks, but we expect to be in our usual place and time - Tuesdays at 8pm in Studio 5.
Our March Tuesday series will be an Intro to Balboa 4-week series, taught ELEF (Everybody Leads, Everybody Follows).
We have found that teaching ELEF right at the start
builds much stronger skills and understanding of lead-follow
mechanics. Even if you choose to specialize in a single role
after that intro, your dancing will be that much more amazing
for the 4 hours you spent learning in both directions!
