December Boston Balboa events plus a new social dance (tonight!)

Howdy folks,

Just wanted to let you know we've finalized our events in the first
weekend of December: a 3-session Pure Balboa Progressive and the last
Balboa on a Sunday Afternoon for the year.

Saturday, December 2nd: Bringing back the Balboa Intensive!

It's been (a lot more than) a minute, but we've finally gathered up
enough spoons to put together an afternoon of Pure Balboa Intensive!  On
Saturday, December 2nd we'll be teaching a progressive series of classes
over the course of the afternoon starting with your Pure Balboa Basics
for ALL levels, moving through the standard Pure Balboa figures for
Beginner+, and then in the last hour pulling out a few toys for
Intermediate+ that play with timing, connection, and momentum. There's
so much fun stuff you can do in closed position Balboa, and we can't
wait to share it with y'all.

Note that the first session "Legos: the Basics" will be taught ELEF
(Everybody Leads, Everybody Follows) so that people can get a better
understanding and feel of the connection from both roles. The  other two
sessions will be the usual format where each student chooses to either
lead OR follow for the class.

Classes will be at Salsa Y Control in Allston from 2pm-6pm (up to 3
hours of classes, with breaks). Pay what you can (recommended payment:
$10-$15 per class). Suitable masks required while in the studio.


Sunday, December 3rd: December BoaSA:NTE

On Sunday, December 3rd, we'll have our final Balboa on a Sunday
Afternoon.  This month we're keeping it simple with DJ'd music for
social dancing. You can practice too, if you wanna. (DJ TBA)

A new Social Dance

And if you just can't wait to do more social Balboa dancing, "Gotta
Bal!" is having its first DJ'd social dance TONIGHT (Thursday, November
16th) at the First Church in Cambridge, 11 Garden St (same location as MNP).
