Howdy folks!

We're still a little swungover from I Heart Bal, but we wanted to remind
you that we actually have 2 events happening this weekend!

CRASH COURSE - Saturday

On Saturday, October 28th, we're running an ELEF Balboa Crash Course
(everybody leads, everybody follows), which will be taught by Nelle
Cherry and Emily Schuhmann! A Crash Course will get you all the basic
figures and mechanics you need to dance Balboa socially. We here at
Boston Balboa strongly believe that starting your Balboa journey with
ELEF (or coming back to your fundamentals as a more seasoned Balboa
dancer) helps you understand the mechanics more deeply and ultimately
progress more quickly. Though many dancers do choose to specialize in
one role, starting out with ELEF helps you understand how both roles
work and feel, so you can choose the one that suits you, or choose to
keep dancing in both! No partner is necessary, as we will rotate
partners in class.

The crash course will be held at the Dance Complex in Central Square,
Cambridge, in Studio 5 from 1pm to around 6pm (with breaks as needed).
Online registration is available here:

DAN REPSCH CLASS + BoaSA:NTE - Sunday

And then, on Sunday, October 29th, our next Balboa on a Sunday
Afternoon: Now Times Edition will be happening at Salsa Y Control in
Allston.  This month we will be hosting guest instructor and DJ, Dan
Repsch. (Find out more about Dan here: https://danrepsch.weebly.com/
Dan is known far and wide as a brilliantly creative, playful, and
musical dancer, and we are thrilled to have him with us for some Balboa
goodness!

For the first hour, starting at 12:15pm, Dan will be teaching a class on
adding turning variations to your Bal-Swing! All students are expected
to be familiar with both the comearound and the tossout. And after class
(1:30-3:45pm), Dan will be providing the music for social dancing and
practice!

Both events are pay-what-you-can, which recommended prices provided on
each registration page.  And while wastewater numbers are dropping in
MA, we will continue to require masks in class so we don't contribute to
the expected winter surge that is anticipated.

Weather permitting, we hope to find an outdoor patio after both events
for drinks and snacks!
