I am from Worcester! We'd love to hear what you all are planning.
Actually, we think the best way to start with local credit
unions/banks is to launch a campaign to a. figure out who our local
government is banking with and b. to start publicizing and organizing
people on the issue. e.g. you can get credit unions and citizens to
donate money for a billboard that points out how small/local is better
than big banks, we can match local donations with national donations
on the web. the billboard is a small goal, and the strategy itself is
something other people will want to learn about, we can publicize and
invite press to cover.
Also, if you have a planning meeting, we can send out to our members
and invite them to come.
