Hi all,

Here's where's what I think we should get started on:

- Let's draft a letter to the professors we know, explaining what open
courseware and creative commons is all about, and ask for them to send
any relevant course materials with the understanding that they'll be
put up on the early BU ocw site and released under a CC license.

- Let's get a demo site up and running, either using eduCommons or
some other good CMS. I have a broken Plone/eduCommons install on my
site right now, the only thing missing is building libxslt. If you're
good at this kind of thing and would like to take a look, let me know.
- Another thing I suggested is try and setting up an early demo
using an easier to setup (and more resource friendly...) content
management system than eduCommons, just so we have a demo link to pass
around to professors/students/the [daily free] press.
- It also might be worthwhile just to wait. A new version of
eduCommons is slated for release on the 12th, and will include
installers that should make setting it up a lot easier.

I'm volunteering my server for this, and right now I have ownership of
a domain (buocw.org) that I'd like to use for this. If any of you have
a better hosting plan, talk to me and I'll be more than happy to
transfer the domain or DNS over.
