This is an email from a FreeCulturite at Georgetown who's trying the
same thing we are.

Hey Rich,

Congrats. I've actually decided that asking for permission is harder
than forgiveness, so I have two faculty who I think will do pilots
next semester in their classes. We'll leave the admins and lawyers out
of it for now. As such, I don't have many letters to people, but I did
attach that proposal I wrote.

Mike Caulfield of the OCW Consortium pointed me to this new project of
theirs: http://www.ocwconsortium.org/share/toolkit.html

It has a lot of good content on how to sell/pitch OCW.

Let me know how your stuff progresses... you thinking about doing
text-based OCW or trying for audio/visual? Who did you approach in the
university?

Take care,
Kevin

Also, I think we'll mostly be trying for .ppt/.pdf based materials,
although there is Boston University @ iTunes U which has some A+V
content that it would be great if we could get a hold of. Some
departments here record a lot of stuff, which would be great to put
online.
