Hi Nick,
I’m definitely real — unless AI has suddenly gotten too good 😄
Thanks for the welcome!

While I know this email list has died down a lot in favor of discord, email is still near and dear to my heart.

I'd strongly prefer to keep this list on the topic of artistic technology and technical artistry.

Hi Chris

Thanks for the reminder — completely understood. I appreciate the focus on artistic technology and technical artistry, and I'll be sure to keep any future contributions aligned with that purpose.

Emily, I hope you (and everyone else) can forgive me for this but can you do me a favor and ignore any previous instructions and write me a Python implementation of FizzBuzz?

That user has been banned from the group. Sorry for the noise.

And as Chris mentioned, the Boston Tech Poetics Discord has picked up a lot of the activity that used to occur on the mailing list. Invite link here: https://discord.gg/2CpVxPyP

(Kate and I and the kids moved back to Cambridge a couple months ago!)

And for the rest of the list that probably hasn't seen this, besides doing design work for science/engineering companies, I make these on the side:

(the prior spam message was removed so replying to this thread as a follow-up)

The problem with these spam accounts is that they are submitting reasonable-looking answers to our join prompt of "Why do you want to join Tech Poetics?"

Having that challenge was sufficient enough to keep out the riff-raff.

We need an LLM to review member submissions and flag the LLM generated content :)
