Hi All-

It's been a while since we've had a startup game and since Ivan has up
and left town, we've lost our regular playing spot. I think we should
get back to regular bi-weekly games. If there is significant
interest, I'll host a game this Thursday night at Cloudant offices in
Somerville (near the Davis Sq. T stop). It will probably be .25/.50
NL Hold 'em with a $40 initial max buy in. If people like the time
and place, I'll try to host a game every other week. Respond if
you're interested.

Cheers

Hi All,

We moved to silicon valley :)

If you set up a rake, feel free to ship me a founders fee.

I'll send a message on the meetup, close that down, and encourage
people to use this mailing list.

Hi Alan:

I'm also a new player (and startup-o-phile). Although I can't make this
week, Thursday nights are generally good for me and I'd be into joining if
you keep it going.

Thanks,

While I appreciate the invitation to drop $40 plus on Thursday night poker table in Boston, I do not think I can make it. I am very underappreciated and underemployed of late. But I did want to address the Member, Ivan, who recently moved to Silicon Valley, California:

If you need money for your Silicon Valley start-up or Project or Whatever it is, I can share with you a little secret I learned by working on many business Financials and paperwork on business deals while a Typesetter at the Boston offices of financial publisher R.R. Donnelley. Their National IPO Sales Director, a fellow by the name of Tim Fox, knows all the big money dealmakers and kingpins, the deep pocket "fancy" money that can truly make things happen.

Of course, Tim sells them expensive financial printing composition services, and they are coddled clients with lots of customer services thrown in. I met the publisher of Newsweek, Mortimer Zuckerman, while working there, once. He owns Boston Properties, and made a cool $500 Million on one start-up magazine some of you may have heard of, Fast ____ (something) when he sold it to the Europeans after just maybe 5 or 6 years of existence. Unfortunately, the woman who created the magazine for him, committed suicide under the pressure and specter of Zuckerman's displeasure with alleged financial shenanigans. Sounds like a raw "power play" to me, but that is just from my own, sketchy, distant perspective on the matter. I never agreed much with Zuckerman's news commentaries in his own Newsweek magazine, especially his 100 percent perfect record of support for Israel's Zionist (Racist, Nazi-like) policies.

Anyway, as you can see, I talk too much. Hope all goes well with your move and your new location. California -- I have heard great things about their Year-'Round FARMERS' MARKETS. First time I was "clued in" about this, was watching Julia Child walking through a California Farmer's Market, with Jacques Pepin in tow for a portion of the entire half-hour Television Program. Has anybody else caught her new BioPic Feature Film, newly released, starring Meryl Streep, as yet? I have heard it is quite good. The woman led an interesting and a well-rounded life. She was versatile, I will say that for her.

Anybody knows of a full time office job for an experienced worker like me, let me know. Thanks.

Sincerely,

Michael B. Del Camp

Hi All-

So there hasn't been that much interest for a game tomorrow night.  Perhaps it was too short notice on my end.  I'm still willing to host if a couple more people say they want in (only 2 affirmatives so far, and 3 handed poker sucks).  I have snacks, but it's BYOB.  If not, I'll try again in two weeks.  If people are really jonesing for a game, get others on the list to commit to tomorrow.

Cheers

Hey all,

I host a weekly Thursday night game in Waltham that is very entrepreneur-friendly. We've only got 5 right now, and can seat up to 10, so if you're interested drop me a line and I'll send you the Evite.

Thanks,

My house, in Waltham, off Moody Street. Game starts in the 7:30 range.

$10 buy-in, cash game (meaning table stakes, buy in or out at any time for what you have on the table), $0.25/0.50/1.00 chips.

Games include hold 'em, Omaha, and a few stud variants. No wild card games.

Josh - I'm over in watertown, cannont make this thursday (today) but have a high level of interest. Can you send a reminder note out early in the week.

Ivan - Best of luck, enjoy the weather, and good to have met a dude that elicits the rare "holy-shit-this-guy-is-sharp" reaction.

Hey, I'd like to play tonight in Davis square as my first choice. Is
that happening? My name's Clay. I haven't showed up yet but had been
invited by Ivan.

Hi, Josh. Can you add me to your weekly invite list as well? Thanks.

If the Davis square (which is more convenient for me by T) game
doesn't work out then do you have a text message number or something I
can contact you with to see if you're full later on? Oh, and what's
your address? Thanks for hosting.

Hi All-

I'm going to say no game tonight (at Davis). I'll try again in two
weeks. Hopefully we'll have a bigger turnout by then.

Hi all,

The Waltham game tonight is in rough shape, too - must be a bad week for people. If we get 2-3 more players in the next hour or so, it might still run, but otherwise I'll go play softball instead.

This is an "every week" thing, for the most part, so if you are interested in playing, just drop me a line and I'll add you to the weekly Evite.

Thanks,
 - Josh
