Hey everyone,

As mentioned at last night's meeting, we have a unique situation where we currently do not have speakers for June.

If you would like to present on Tuesday June 11th at Brightcove, please reply to me directly (and off list) or email ad...@bostonrb.org

Some topics that could help to jog your memory if you're trying to come up with a topic:

* A cool ruby gem that you've recently integrated
* A design pattern that you've incorporated into the architecture of your software
* Interesting/Unique applications of Ruby (in nontraditional/Rails oriented settings)
* A case study of how you scaled or refactored an application in a challenging way.
* An approach to having a strong client side layer interacting with a Rails based API on the server side
* An innovative approach to integrating Rails with legacy data and/or applications

If you know someone that has presented a topic at other venues that you think would be pertinent to our group, please pass this note along to them.

Thanks,
Dan

Hello!
My name is Matheus, from the heart of Massachusetts... I've been interested in Ruby and Python for a long time now, ever since I was 10. (I'm currently 13)... is there anyone willing to teach me more about ruby? I am experienced in programming, and I can create Classes, objects, use inheritance and use math functions. I'm very eager to learn ruby, because the community is great. I might also go to the Boston Ruby conference in June, July, and August. I want to learn Ruby programming language first then Ruby On Rails. I have bought some books such as "Programming Ruby" by Dave Thomas, but I want someone to actually help me so that I can ask questions to for a further understanding.
**
If you have found some typos, this is because I was in a hurry
**
Thanks, Matheus
