See http://bostonrb.org/events/55 for full details.

When:
Tue, Dec 09, 2008 7-9pm

Where:
215 First Ave, Cambridge, MA

What:

This month's meeting will be held on Tuesday, December 9th at
Sermo, 215 First Ave, Cambridge. The meeting runs from 7 to 9pm, but
you can arrive after 6:30.

Agenda
======

Josh Nichols will be presenting "Rake: The Familiar Stranger".

Matt Knox will be presenting "goaloc, repl, and possibly other
interesting projects I've been working on".

If there's still time, the floor will be openned for lightning
talks (5-10 minutes). These don't have to be full blown talks. Think
of it as 'show & tell', but for Ruby stuff.

Special Thanks
============

Many thanks go out to:

* Sermo for providing the venue, food, and drinks
* Engine Yard for donating a slice for hosting bostonrb.org
* O'Reilly for providing books

Cool. Someone mentioned about Toys for Tots campaign in the previous
emails. Are we going to do that?

Hi,

I threw it out there as a possibly suggestion. I'm happy to do what I can to make it happen if people are interested in doing it.

Jeremy,

I'm going to bring and toy and give it to you tonight.

There.  Hopefully that gets the ball rolling!  :)

Does anyone head out to these meetings from Worcester?  I'd be interesting in carpooling in the future.  (Not tonight though)

Even meeting in Westboro, Framingham, Natick, or Riverside would be better for me than driving all the way in.

Thanks from Capital-Efficient Worcester,
Ryan

Wyatt, Eugene, and others:

I apologize that I don't know the names of everyone who donated toys last night, but I wanted to say thank you. I'm sure you made a difficult time a little easier for some deserving children.

Thanks again,
Jeremy

I recorded the talks with my flip video, and posted them to vimeo:

Josh Nichols - Rake: The Familiar Stranger http://vimeo.com/2496890
Brian Cardarella - Laces = Shoes + Rails http://vimeo.com/2497959

Need to wait a week to post Matt's talk, since there's a 500mb upload
cap...

Finally got around to posting the last talk. I think it cuts out
towards the end though (ran out of space on my camera):
