I've worked as an internal recruiter for a startup for the past 3 weeks. I'm really shocked at how f*cking broken the hiring process is for companies.
I'm so fed up with this BS that I decided to start posting and embarrassing the recruiters on our blog at http://blog.referralbon.us
Have a look see... and a good laugh. Feel free to share the blog links in your social media to show just how shitty most recruiters are.

Dan Sharp here... from HealthTalker, remember? I really enjoyed your blog. Very interesting, and definitely rings true (at least in my experience).
Well, the ups-and-downs of life continue... I'm not at HealthTalker anymore. I took an opportunity to move back to the mountains of Colorado, so I'm in Golden, CO now doing Rails work for Ingersoll Rand (go figure, but it's a sweet setup. It's a satellite office with just devs, practicing Agile and the whole nine yards).
What a ride!
Anyway, thanks again for all you did. I know we never were able to find a good match at HT, but I do appreciate the effort you put in, and I want you to know that you are on my short list of "good recruiters" (yeah, it's a pretty short list. Such is life, eh?).
Oh, and funny thing, though I hesitate a little to mention it: a colleague of mine mentioned today his interest in Abroad101. And I thought.. hmmm... that sounds familiar, where have I heard that before? Then I went to the careers section and saw the POC for the Rails position(s) was ma...@abroad101.com. Bing! What a small world!
Anyway, I wish you and Abroad101 all the best!
