I'm very glad we did the meeting. Now we need to set up a new mailing list so the people who are going to be organizing and volunteering can coordinate.

I'm thinking of setting up another Google Group, but if anyone has another suggestion for a mailing list I'm open to it. Jessica said she is happy to join this list and stay involved as we figure out how to do these outreach events.

When we get this new mailing list set up, we need to start talking about the first Project Night, which Dan Croak on behalf of Thoughtbot has offered space and a tentative date for. We also need to start talking about the new section of the web site.

Thank you everyone who came. The ideas people contributed were really great. I can write up a memo (with the help of Alex's notes) and post it when we get the new mailing list in order.

I copied the attendance list to this main Google Doc for Boston Ruby outreach and education. Everyone who wants to be involved, please scroll down to the section "Volunteers, Organizers, Advisors, and Interested Beginners," add then

1. add your name if it isn't there
2. add your email address 
3. state what you're interested in helping out on or, if you're on the learning end, which kind of event you want to attend  

The Google Doc is private to a list of users. There are a lot of people on the list already culled from the recent threads here on mentoring (thanks Michael Durrant). But if you're not on it and want to be added, just let us know.
