The 12th edition of the Micro-Festival of Unfinished Puppetry,
organised by Les Sages Fous,
will be held from 5th to 11th of October 2020.

Les Sages Fous are in the midst of preparing a very exciting project; the Unusual Theatre Factory, an international center dedicated to the process of puppet creation and atypical forms in visual theatre that will open officially in 2022. Before the restoration and construction begin to transform the historic site into a dynamic theatre laboratory, the 2020 edition of the Microfestival will be presented in these same buildings.

If you have an unfinished puppet project that needs to confront an audience in an unfinished space, we would be delighted to know more!

Types of projects that can participate:

- An unfinished theatrical form, lasting 2 to 30 minutes,
using puppet or object theatre

- All atypical forms of shows are encouraged; small forms, street shows, in situ shows and unusual proposals are welcome!

An exhibition or installation project which revolves
around the object or the puppet

- A short film still in development using
puppet, object, or stop-motion.

Participants will present their unfinished work before an audience interested in the creative process, during evenings at the future Fabrique de théâtre insolite in Trois-Rivières. Depending on the needs of the project, a residency of one or two weeks could also be available.

Each project will have access to a workshop and rehearsal space for the duration of the event. Meetings and discussions between artists will be held in the studio of Les Sages Fous.

The artists will have room and board for the duration of their stay in Trois-Rivieres. A fee will be accorded to each project. National and international transportation, unless otherwise agreed, will be assumed by the participating companies.
