Hi ladies and gents, I hope you don't mind me spamming the group with this, and if it is inappropriate, please let me know!
I don't want to put this on the Facebook group because not everyone who knows my roommate knows this news yet but...
...he is moving, and I am devastated! And I need a new roommate. And I would like it to be someone rad, because our apartment is rad! And 'pinners are rad, so I thought I'd put the word out.
Things That Are Rad About My Apartment
1. It's a two-bedroom, smack between the Arboretum and Franklin Park in Jamaica Plain. I have seen woodpeckers and nuthatches on the trees off the back porch. Wilderness! There is a front porch, too.
2. It is just an eight minute walk to the Orange Line, and there is a lovely bike path on the Southwest Corridor going into the city (it usually takes me 20 minutes by bike to get from the apartment to Copley Square. Also it is a five minute walk from Bikes not Bombs.) Car/motorcycle parking is pretty easy, and non-permit!
3. I have an overweight three-legged cat named Tony. He looks kind of like an orca, but tiny, furry, and less threatening. If you have cat, we can talk about it! Maybe they can be friends?
4. It is cheap! About $750 a month and pretty low utilities.
5. I sometimes have Champagne Thursdays, which is when friends just bring champagne over for no reason. Invite yours, too!
6. There is a small amount of taxidermy around. Made by me.
7. There is a lot of food all the time, also made by me, in our kitchen which has new cabinets and counter tops.
8. I do not have a TV. Some people dig this, I don't know, put a TV in if you want, I just don't need one. My laptop wastes enough/all of my time already.
9. I have home brewing equipment you are welcome to use!
10. I'm actually pretty quiet during the week and spend a night to two or three each week at the home of my dudefriend, who is around sometimes.
11. Move-in is flexible. January or February. Just take over the lease through September.
12. Excellent neighborhood things you may or may care about: Bikes Not Bombs, Canto 6, Doyle's, Sam Adams, and Milwaukee Iron Works (the best motorcycle shop in town.)
I am having a Champagne Thursday next week, so if you want to pop in and hang out and see if you want to live with me, hit me up!
Thanks for putting up with my email! You are all great.
Yours till deviled eggs stop being delicious,
Liz
P.S. I am in my late 20s and I work a 9-5. Just FYI.
