-Team up with
the Boston Emergent Cohort, the Crossing and Harvard Divinity School to
build awareness around global poverty in these ways:
* TUE: Will Samson (author of Justice in the 'Burbs and member of the Emergent Village Coordinating Group) speaks @ Harvard Divinity School (7pm, Sperry Room, 45 Francis Ave, Cambridge) Simple Kenyan meal reception to follow.
Topic: "Global Poverty and our Everyday Lives" * WED: Go deeper w/ breakout groups and a community meal @ Belva's Café, (7pm, Harvard Divinity School, 14 Divinity Ave, Cambridge)
* THU: Worship followed by a celebration potluck @ The Crossing (6:30pm, 138 Tremont St, Boston)
-We will be gathering pledges as we eat on less than $2 a day for three days to raise money for Kupenda (www.kupenda.org),
a Christian organization that exists to meet the needs of children with
disabilities in Kenya. Your contribution will also be gratefully
received at any of the events listed above.

Will Samson
Will Samson is presently pursuing graduate
studies in theology and sociology. He holds a BA with concentrations in
Biblical Studies and Communications from Liberty University, and an MS
in Information Systems from The George Washington University. Will, his
wife, novelist Lisa Samson, and their family are participants in the
life of Communality, a missional Christian community in the city of
Lexington, KY. Will serves on the
coordinating group of Emergent Village and is on the Board of Advisors
at Relational Tithe. He and his wife are the authors of the
