Greetings, Boston blues dancers!
I hope the Fall is treating you well so far! Here's what's up in the Boston Blues scene (and beyond!) for this month:
1. "Musicality" at Bluesy Tuesy with lots of different instructors! Fun & musical!
2. "Creativity & Getting Out of Your Dance Rut" at Blues Union with Julie Brown! Potential silliness!
3. Dance to live New Orleans Brass Band, Something Shameless! Shamelessness!
4. Learn Lindy Hop from LA dancer Peter Flahiff, who's in town!
5. Lots of places close-by for traveling to dance!
Stuff around town
October at Bluesy Tuesy - Musicality, Improvisation, & Partnership
with Paul Loschak & Sarah Elise, Jan Marie, Zach Brass, and Margaret Ptak & Forrest Rogers-Marcovitz
This month, you’ll get lots of ideas for ways to draw inspiration from the music. Each week, a different teacher or pair of teachers will cover a different topic of musicality.
October at Blues Union - Breaking out of the box
with Julie Brown
Feel like you’re stuck in a dancing rut? Always doing the same moves in the same way? This month, we’ll break out of our boxes and have some fun moving in new ways and getting creative with our blues.
*If you’ve taken 6 months or more of blues classes at Blues Union or Bluesy Tuesy, you can take the intermediate classes at Blues Union. Alternately, you can do a blues interview with Jenn or Julie at the Blues Clinic.

Help spread the love of blues, while earning free dances!
When you dance at a blues bar, music event, or other blues bomb (or if you teach at a local college), bring some blues business cards to hand out! If people come to dances with your card, you get in that night for free! Talk to Julie Brown or Jenn Martinez at Blues Union to get yourself some cards.
Live music where you can go dance!
