Hey dancers!
Here's what's going on in Boston (and beyond) for blues in the next month or so:
Stuff around town
Special Notice: Bluesy Tuesy will not be at the Democracy Center on September 1st or September 8th due to building maintenance. We’re not sure yet if we will hold the event elsewhere or will cancel for those two weeks. We’ll spread updated info by word of mouth, the Facebook group, and possibly on our web page, or you can write in...@bluesytuesy.com to ask.
August at Bluesy Tuesy - TBA Blues Topics
with Jan Marie
This month, Jan Marie will teach at Bluesy Tuesy! Check the Bluesy Tuesy Facebook group each week for class topics: https://www.facebook.com/groups/102014349907754/
August at Blues Union - Cool & complex movement
with Julie Brown
This month, we’ll work on moving our bodies in new, cool ways! Topics will include isolation techniques & exploration, different ways to dance with your whole body, how to layer multiple movements & rhythms at once, and how to apply these ideas in your solo and partnered dancing.
**If you’ve taken 6 months or more of blues classes at Blues Union or Bluesy Tuesy, you can take the intermediate classes at Blues Union. Alternately, you can do a blues interview with Jenn or Julie at the Blues Clinic.
Blues Union Raffle!
At the August Blues Clinic, we’ll be raffling off a private lesson with Julie Brown! For every class you attend in August, you get one ticket in the raffle (so attend more classes to increase your chance of winning)!
Earn free dances while spreading the love of blues!
When you dance at a blues bar, music event, or other blues bomb (or if you teach at a local college), bring some blues ambassador business cards to hand out! If people come to dances for their first time with your card, you get in that night for free! Talk to Julie Brown or Jenn Martinez at Blues Union to get yourself some cards.
Live music where you can go dance!
