Hi BAWCA colleagues,
Some of you already know about this, but I will be hosting a one-day symposium on AI & Writing
here at Babson College on Friday, November 1st. The basic idea was to just get local Writing Program representatives in a room together to share what's happening on our campuses and such. I started by reaching out to WPAs and English department chairs,
and I have a pretty robust list of attendees (25+ different institutions).
Given the positive reception I've received from the invitation, the powers-that-be at Babson said I could expand the event, so of course I'm looking at my Writing Center colleagues 🙂 if you're interested in attending, let me know! I don't have a ton of space
as we logistically planned for a more intimate gathering, so I'll just go first-come, first-served. That said, if you can't make it this time but are interested in these conversations moving forward, do let me know: Babson isn't really known for raining money
over the Liberal Arts side of the house, but, assuming a successful symposium, someone already mentioned we could maybe expand for a larger offering...
Anyway, feel free to reach out to me directly!
All the best,
Kristi
