Welcome to BossPlease!
Quick listing of our rules (with more details
to follow, below)...
1. Participation in Guild Wars is mandatory.
2. No donations are required.
3. Boss 3 is at 21:00 daily. Boss 5 to follow.
4. No hauling torches before 20:45 server time.
5. Participation in Torch Battles from 20:45-21:00
is highly recommended.
6. Participation in Fortress Feud is highly
recommended (1st and 3rd Sunday of each month,
usually 20:00-21:00, occasionally 12:00-13:00).
7. Only the guild leader and vice-leaders may
accept or reject applicants to the guild.
8. Be a good team member.
9. Most teams for Team Dungeons (e.g. Mesa4) and
Team HBM (e.g. WG3) are set up beforehand in
guild chat, or some people have permanent teams.
Please don't join an invite unless you are
on that team, or the person creating the invite
says "anyone can join".
Details for the guild rules...
All of the rules are based on having each member
contributing to the guild, for the betterment of
all guild members, and for keeping the guild
running smoothly.
1. Guild Wars
Guild Wars happens every Thursday and Sunday.
Be prepared to participate by scoring as many
points as you can, and by having a Guild Wars
defense base for the entire duration of Guild
Wars. If you cannot participate for any reason,
you must notify a leader/vice-leader *beforehand*.
We have a thread on our forum discussing Guild
Wars mechanics, attack strategies, and why
participation in Guild Wars is important. If you
score less than 2000 points you should carefully
read our forum thread regarding GW:
The point totals for each member will be
recorded, to evaluate each member's contribution
to the guild.
2. Donations
No donations are required. Please use hero
shards to make your heroes stronger and boost
your might (especially if you are below 120k).
Reasons for boosting your might, and how to
do it:
3. Boss Battles
Boss 3 at 21:00 daily, and Boss 5 immediately
after Boss 3. There are no rules for Boss 3...
once Boss 3 opens, you may enter and do as
much damage as you want. Once BB5 opens, you
may enter and do as much damage as you can,
but do not go much over 600mil. Anything over
this point will not get you any more rewards,
and you will deprive other members of getting
their rewards. Once you reach 600mil+, stop
and do not re-enter the boss battle.
Forum thread with helpful information for BB5:
4 & 5. Torch Battles
On Torch Battle days (Wed./Sat.), do not haul
any torches before 20:45 server time, unless
a guild leader/vice-leader specifically asks
you to do so. The same goes for defending
hauls before 20:45. Before 20:45, if you see
anyone hauling, or any hauls against us,
announce this in guild chat immediately, and
await instructions from a leader/vice or senior
guild member.
At 20:45, a leader/vice will pick a target
guild for us to attack. Once that guild has
been announced, go the appropriate page in
the torch battle "haul" screen, and haul as
many torches as you can from them. Use your
second-strongest set of heroes, reserving
your strongest heroes for guarding. If the
target guild runs out of torches, haul from
any guilds on pages 20-25.
Once your 10 hauls have been sent, help
guard against any attackers. Do not waste your
attempts on heroes that are much stronger than
yours; don't waste time, and let our stronger
members take care of those.
Participation at the end of Torch Battles,
from 20:45 to 21:00 is recommended.
Attendance may be recorded to see who is
helping the guild.
Forum thread regarding TB:
6. Fortress Feud
Fortress Feud occurs on the 1st and 3rd
Sundays of each month, and lasts for 1 hour.
There are 3 possible time slots that the
guild may register for. Most of the time,
we will attempt to register for the 20:00 to
21:00 time slot. Occasionally we will try to
do the 12:00-13:00 time slot for the benefit
of the people who cannot make it to the
20:00-21:00 time slot.
The more people we have online to help,
the better our chances to get a higher rank,
which affects everyone's rewards. Each
member's participation in FF may be recorded
to assess who is helping the guild.
Forum thread regarding FF:
7. Accepting/rejecting applicants
Only the guild leader/vice-leaders may accept
applicants into the guild, or reject
applicants. The game allows members who have
donated at least 10k shards to accept/reject
applicants, but in this guild, only the
leader/vice-leaders are allowed to do this.
Everyone else should ignore new applicants.
New applicants need to be interviewed and
screened to make sure they understand our
guild rules, and there is a good fit for
both our guild and the new member.
8. Be a good team member
This takes the form of several sub-rules:
8a. Keep guild chat clean and friendly. Use
only english. No racist, offensive, crude
or abusive language will be tolerated.
8b. We don't have a minimum age limit, but
everyone is expected to act like an adult.
8c. We are a team, so helping each other
learn and share ideas will help make the team
stronger.
8d. Flags (Riches Flags, for raids) are free
for anyone to use, but please don't waste
them. Please announce in guild chat if you
see that the number of available flags is
getting very low (below 20, for example).
If the flags are depleted, and a guild
leader/vice-leader is not online to refresh
them, please restrict your buying of flags
so that others may use them in case they get
a quest that requires the usage of a flag.
This should be common courtesy, but not
everyone remembers this. You MUST announce
it in guild chat if you purchase the last
flag.
8e. If a guild leader/vice-leader attempts to
contact you, do not ignore them. It's rude.
9. Don't join a Team Dungeon/HBM invite unless
you are on that team or it's a "free-for-all".
Most teams are arranged in guild chat
beforehand, so you will be wasting people's
time if you try to steal someone else's spot.
Occasionally someone will create an invite
and say "anyone can join", and in this case,
of course it's a free-for-all for the
remaining open spots.
On most days, until further notice, the guild
leader will record the number of turns for
Mesa4 that everyone has, and construct and
announce teams after the BB is over. If you
would like to participate, please be online
5 minutes before the BB starts.
In closing...
Have fun, let's all enjoy the game together,
and if anyone has any feedback, comments,
question, or suggestions, feel free to contact
a guild leader.
