Alright, so the thing to do would be to plan the meetup.  I will help in any and all ways possible.  There should be as much content as you can convince people to provide :)

Since we have in no way gotten all of the meetup members migrated to the google group yet, I'd be glad to post an email from you to the meetup list if you wanted to send me a Call for Presentations for the upcoming meetup :)  I'd also be glad to work with you on the content of such a thing if you needed help.  Hopefully after a month or two we'll have a good Standard Operating Procedure for facilitators - for now, it's very seat-of-the-pants.  We should also ask for potential presentations at the end of each meetup for the next month's meetup.

Also, the fine folks at DataStax were offering to send someone to our meetup to show off Cassandra if we ever wanted them to - we could ping them if you're interested, but no idea how short notice they can operate on.

I'd suggest you badger Tom Miller Miller (you can email me for his email address if you'd like) at the very least - he definitely should do a presentation on his keyboard build at least, or anything else he's eager to show off - I know he said he learned a lot from the git-core folks re: his C.  I've been wanting to bother him to give us a talk for some time :)

Is this helpful?  I'd be glad to do a small something, if necessary, but I worry maybe people hear too much out of me as it is :)

I have been to a Birmingham JS Meetup before, Nathan Stott from Whiteboard IT was one of their speakers (also one of the head guys of the group afaik), so I don't know if reaching out to them might be an option. - Michael
