-What steps will reproduce the problem?

I have no idea what caused it. I recently reinstalled skyrim and installed
all the programs I use with it (like BOSS and FXAA injector), everything I
had before just updated.

Everything is set to run as administrator but every time I try to run BOSS
GUI I get the "select game popup", Skyrim and fallout are detected and it
works for fallout but not skyrim.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
If I use the GUI, nothing. If I use the DOS version I get a log with the
following error:
"Critical Error: "Skyrim.esm" cannot be found!
Check the Troubleshooting section of the ReadMe for more information and
possible solutions.
Utility will end now."

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
BOSS 2.1.1, windows 7

Please provide any additional information below.
I use mod organizer like I did for my last play through and I tried running
BOSS through mod organizer and from file. I also tried installing BOSS
directly into the skyrim directory but it still doesn't work.

Run SkyrimLauncher.exe
(This should flag the proper install path for BOSS)

Going through the reports here and a few forums there seem to be several
people who have the same issue.

I'm preparing to do a clean reinstall of windows and then my various games.
If a clean windows and skyrim install doesn't fix it I'm going to assume
that something is seriously wrong with the program.

I ran into this same issue and it ended up being an installation path
registry entry that got screwed up. The path to this entry is
Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432\Node\Bethesda_Softworks\Skyrim.
There is an "Installed Path" entry here that needs to be changed to the
correct location. Once you do this, then BOSS will work again.

I'm Getting That Skyrim ESM Is Unrecognized In Boss
And In My Data Files Reinstalled Twice

Key wasn't there for my steam install. One I added it, it worked fine again.
