Have you or are you a target of "mirroring"? It is a tactic used in psychological warfare, where an individual mirrors another person’s behavior. The tactic is used to break the individual’s will who is being mirrored—to fight back.
A person who engages in the behavior of mirroring is insecure and a victim of their own self-hatred. Their only goal is to destroy others whom they perceive as stronger than they are. The person who engages in mirroring, lacks self-confidence and the ability to accomplish anything on their own merit. They see others as roadblocks to or opportunities to gain their own personal success. They are haters, devious, schemers, liars, gamers, cheaters, and phony. They suck the air out of a room.

Many times we find that we have to work with people or a person who are two bricks short of a load. Essentially, you find yourself in the workplace for 8 hours working with someone who is mirroring the hell out of you, in addition to others who are engaging in psychological warfare tactics targeted at you. You are caught between a rock and a hard place because as Mike McClaughry writes in his blog, if you stand up for yourself, you will become the "bad guy". Your superiors may even be involved in the campaign, and as a result, treat you like an idiot, because after all, "we're gaming on you".
Not only does the person or people harass you at work with this bizarre behavior, but when you get to work on Monday from the weekend, your entire office knows everything that you did on the weekend. What's that all about? So what do you do in this type of very unpleasant situation? It is a challenge to look at your coworker or even respect a person that would direct these sorts of tactics toward you. You're thinking "these people must be out of their minds", "they are scum bags and lower than the earth", "how in the hell did I end up working in an organization like this, where it seems as if everyone is so full of hate and deceit -- you know the type of people who say "it's the other guy who is the scum of the earth, those people out there"...are you following me? Like the pot calling the kettle black, kind of thing, but I digress.
It's all pretty surreal. You have to interact with your coworkers while they are pretending (actually they aren't pretending) that everything is normal and you know it's not--cause you are the target.
The only good thing about it is that you know who your enemies are. People who have your best interest in mind would not try to drive you insane. A friend would not try to do you harm.
No weapon formed against you shall prosper. Those who are trying to drive you insane will go insane. Those who are digging a ditch for you will themselves fall in. That's what the Bible that they believe in says.
