Calculations in "onchange event of browse field"

Hello,
I have a problem:

I joined 2 tables in a query and created a form based on that query.
I wrote some calculations to the onchange event of a browse field in the
form but it has some problems when I start entering the values that I want
to be calculated.
It waits for a couple of seconds without making the calculations , sth
strange happens as if the pointer moves all around the browse field during
those seconds, and after everything is normal again ,I realise that nothing
changed in the calculation field. Just like it was before I entered the new
values.
And when I wrote the same calculations to the onclick event of a pushbutton
, it works without failure or delay?What could be the problem?
Why the onchange event of the browse field causes those strange problems?
I'd be pleased if you help me.
