1. Does anyone have any documentation on 5.5/5.6 Y2K problems?
2. My client wants everything in 32 bit. I currently write all apps in
5.5/5.6 and am quite comfortable. Is is possible to write in 5.5/5.6
and open up in 7.0 and compile it? I realize I will need to copy to a
new directory since 7.0 changes the original source data. Are there any
other migration issues to worry about? I don't really want to learn the
new language at this time, but still be able to deliver 32 bit apps to
my client. Thanks.

There is a lot of difference between 5.x and v7. It's best to plan on
a complete re-write to migrate an app.

I get my news from a local news server. Will the groups have the same
names on news.dbase2000.com? - will they be mirrored locally
automatically?
