Hello,

I guess it should be the Developper version.

If it is the case, after having a look to the tgr-techview.pdf:
- Why the Import-Export (XMI) model is not present ?
- Why not having the profiles support ?
- Why not providing WebServices, J2EE and XML modeling ?
- Support for 1.5 and 2.0 diagramming ?

The 3 first issues seems regression for me because we have these in Studio 7 !!!

Any explanation ?

Regards.

This is due to the new role-based focus of our products.

Together Designer includes UML1.5 and UML2, UML profiles and XMI support
(as well as many other features). This product features outstanding
modeling support for design activities.

Together Developer provides developer-centric modeling features. It does
include J2EE modeling features but we feel in a better way than current
Studio. One can still model EJBs on the class diagram but you don't have
to use Together's deployment diagrams. You can simply use JBuilder's
deployment features. This minimizes many steps in the workflow. Web
services and XML handling are similarly handled by JBuilder 2005.

We think this is a much better way to work and think you'll find pricing
to be roughly equivalent.

Thanks,
Tom

Hello,

Why the developper version doesn't support UML 2 where as the CE supports it ???

For XMI, I personnaly find that it's a lack !

We're providing class and sequence diagrams in Developer. The UML 1
class diagram provides an excellent means of visualing source code.
Also, at the time development was started on this product, the UML 2
spec was very unstable (especially for sequence diagrams). Thus, why
Developer uses UML1 notation.

Please note that the next version of Developer will support UML 2.

For XMI, I suggest using Designer or Architect.
