I am writing a academical article about a new UML Profile for GUI
modeling. To validate this model (my UML profile), I have planned to
use Borland Together 2006 Enterprise for Eclipse. Unfortunately, I have
a doubt. Let me explain:
1. Create a new Component Diagram;
2. In this diagram, include a new Component named "Component1";
3. Set focus in "Component1", press the mouse's right button and select
New/Component;
4. For this new component set the name "Component2".
Note that at this point we have "Component2" inside "Component1" (my
"view as class" property is configured to False). Visually,
"Component1" is a container for "Component2". This is the expected
behavior for metaclass Component. It's correct!
The problem began when I create a new UML profile, create a new
sterotype for metaclass Component and set a SVG figure to it (Viewmap
property). When I deploy and try to use it, the SVG figure for this
sterotype do not maintain the Component behaviour, in other words, it
feels that Together do not support an inclusion of a SVG figure inside
another SVG figure.
My question: Together support this?
Thanks!!
