Is it possible to import packages from other models into a UML 2.0 model
in Together Architect 2006 (The PackageImport mechanism from UML2.0)?
If so; how does one do this?`

UML20 Element Import is not supported in Tg 2006. However it is not quite
clear to me how it is supposed to be used for importing other models

Ok

I guess what I am looking for is to be able to reference a package in
another model, making me able to use elements from the external model in
my new model. For instance having a class in the second model have an
association to a class in the imported package (one-way).

Tg 2006 SP1 (b.3265) supports cross-projects references. So you can add
another model to the Model Path (project Properties/Model Path) of your
project, and then use elements from referenced project.
Note: to make this work, you need to make sure that both projects are of
same type. E.g., you can't reference UML1.4 project from UML2.0 one
