file compare

Not sure if this is the right group for version control info.

I need to compare a source code file to the previous day's file to observe
the changes. I use the dos FC since I can't find a better tool for this. I
use the /w switch to compress spaces. It tells me that the files are too
different to compare, yet I see very little difference when I inspect the
files manually.

Is there a better way to go bout this?
