The following query misbehaves.

SELECT * FROM MYTABLE WHERE ID IN
('004366','063580','004982','054290','007162','011324');

It only returns 5 of the 6 rows. Row 063580 is missing. If I change the
query to use ID = 'XXX' OR ID = 'XXX' etc it still fails. Changing the
order of the values being tested makes no difference. Selecting row 063580
by itseld works.

This is with server version 007.004.011.000.

I also have server version, for which I purchased a license. It behaves
properly, finding all 6 rows.

I tried to post this to quality central I always have problems with that.
When prompted, I downloaded the latest windows client and it had numerous
errors, in addition to saying that the server wasn't running and did I want
to run offline.

I will try again. As I said in my original posting, I've not had much luck
posting to qc. I tried again today. See my comments below, last paragraph.

There are 3 ways to use QC.

1. From within JBuilder
2. Download and use the QC Windows client
3. Download and use the QC Java client
3. Use the web QC (http://qc.borland.com/wc/qcmain.aspx?ar=3770)

Surely one of those will work for you?

I was able to post it to qc, using the windows client. I had a hard time
with it, it kept aborting, but google told me that if the userid or
password is wrong it will abort. So I looked there and was successful.

I could not get the java client to work, either standalone or in jbuilder,
and I could not figure out how to post using the web client.

But it is now posted as 25328. I made a similar mistake in not being able
to count and amended my posting with a comment. Also, you can't post a
report for JDataStore7, so I commented that also.

You don't get the "Add a new report" link unless you're logged in, which
means that report creation is mostly a mystery until you accidentally
stumble onto it for some other reason. I reported this somewhere a long
time ago, but evidently I didn't use QC to do it (Oh! The irony! :-),
because I can't find it there.

There has always been some kind of disconnect with getting the versions
updated. Hopefully that will improve in the new company. I think your
approach is about all you can do.

I _was_ logged in to the web client. A mystery. The windows client works
now so I shan't puzzle about it any longer.

I have my fingers crossed re the new company. My understanding is that we
really don't know anything now except Borland's intent to sell.

Hmm. There should be a "Add a report in this area" link at the top of
the list of existing reports. It only shows up once you've browsed
below the top level of the project though (strange), and I noticed
yesterday that it's easy to miss in the sea of different navigation
areas on the current BDN web site template. There are about 7 or 8
different places where you can normally find links and actions, and "the
top of the page" is yet another one in addition to the normal places.
Yikes!

We don't know a lot of specifics, but there has been a fair amount of
general information. The Delphi guys, in particular, have been blogging
about the process quite a bit. One interesting fact that showed up this
week is that there have been at least 3 prospective buyers already, and
they expect a few more. So that's some welcome news.
