Hi,
Even after I added jdatastore.license file into a jar and added into the
libraries on the top, once a day "NON_REDISTRIBUTABLE_JDATASTORE_IN_USE.TXT"
file is getting created and the server shuts down completely.

I replaced all users' exe file with the jdatastore.license jar file but I
got it again. Is there a way to know which user is triggering this file
creation?
Lori, what could it be?

Thanks for any help.

I doubt it is a specific user as licensing is controlled on the server
not by clients. All clients/users get the same licensing. However, it is
caused by a specific user there is no way to know what user is causing it.

My suspiscion is that the jar just isn't being found period. I recommend
you had the license to the jdsserver.jar itself.

Hi,
Happily I am beyond the license related problem.
I did attached the jdatastore.license as a file rather than a jar or a
library member. Now it works fine.

Last a few days the biggest challange I do have is to understand (while
.._temp.jds file size is increasing at some point) why the server is
shutting itself down.
It is getting dead locked that I could not stop/start the server from jds
server console or from Windows Services.

I started to change all applicable QueryDataSets to read-only and
not-resolvable in order to minimize the _temp.jds size.

I increased the "maximum log size" to 600MB+ and also increased the "check
frequency" to 20MB+.
Today it is behaving so far good.

Apparently whatever I did so far is not enough yet to have an operational
system a whole day.
It stopped just after I sent you the previous letter.
It is operational with 12+ users.
