marshal and unmarshal XML

I am using DTD to generate Java XML Objects which are invoked by my JSP. my JSP cannot do marshal and unmarshal. There is a special directory I have to upload the DTD file? Note I am using tomcat4

Would you please explain more detail, or give a example. You mean I have to set the systemId = URL? or ...
