I've got Interbase 5.5 with Delphi 5 Pro, and I can't update to 5.6: the
install asks for a certificate ID and activation key which I haven't got
(or can't find on the Delphi CD). I tried with ID and key from the file
ib_license.dat in the Interbase directory, but that was obviously wrong.
What can I do? Or is the update unimportant, as I can only use Local
Interbase anyway? I'm just starting with Interbase, so I don't much want
to use IB 6 beta.
Thanks for explanations, Koczian

Before You update, you must use the iblicense.exe application located in the
Interbase\bin directory and then copy the certificate ID and the Certificate
Key.
After that, you can update Interbase.
